How safe are your carpet cleaning and protection methods?
Chem-Dry of Richmond uses only the safest, most effective carpet cleaning technology to assure both your satisfaction and safety. Our green, carbonated cleaning method does not use any harsh chemicals. It’s drier, cleaner, healthier.
Do you guarantee your work?
Yes! We offer a Double Your Money Back Guarantee. If you are not completely satisfied, we return to your home and ensure your satisfaction. If you are still unsatisfied, and any other cleaner can eliminate the stains or traffic lane issues that we could not resolve, we will honor our 200% guarantee on that cleaning.
Is your staff bonded and insured?
Because your safety and confidence mean so much, we bond and insure our staff. We do not use sub-contractors, who rarely are properly insured. This removes the liability worries, so you can just focus on enjoying your newly cleaned home.
Can carpet cleaning fix those ugly black lines around the baseboards and under doorways?
This is called filtration soiling and occurs from air passing through on its way out towards the baseboard or under a closed door. It builds up over time and is very difficult to clean. With special cleaning products, effort and repetition, reasonable results can be achieved.
What carpet cleaning process do you use?
Chem-Dry of Richmond uses a patented Hot Carbonating Cleaning [links to: Why Chem-Dry / The Power of Carbonation] method, which takes the best elements of steam cleaning and adds the proprietary Amplified Extraction tool, the PowerHead®. Used in conjunction with our patented cleaning solution, The Natural, it is simply the finest and most effective carpet and rug cleaning method ever.
How long does the carpet take to dry?
With air flow turned on, such as the A/C and heat unit as well as ceiling fans, carpets typically dry in only 1-2 hours. Our low-moisture processes significantly decrease dry time, while also making the cleaning more convenient and sanitary.
I’ve heard it’s best to put off cleaning my carpet as long as possible, is this true?
No. In fact, many of the major carpet mills today recommend professional cleaning at least once per year. The build-up of soil, in combination with foot traffic, creates abrasion that breaks down your carpet’s fibers. The higher the traffic, the more often the carpet requires cleaning.
Can you get the pet odor out of my carpet?
Yes! Chem-Dry of Richmond offers the most effective and inexpensive way to eliminate urine odor with a guarantee. Pet urine seeps below the carpet, the carpet pad and onto the subfloor. As such, carpet cleaning alone cannot remove the odor. Chem-Dry® has a patented product P.U.R.T.® to eliminate urine odor. We are the number one franchise in the country for successful pet odor removal.
What does it mean to “clean to the standards?”
In 1992, representatives from the carpet manufacturing industry, the carpet cleaning industry and the federal government all agreed upon a common set of standards for the carpet cleaning industry. These standards are now referred to as the CRI standards. Chem-Dry of Richmond completes every step in this agreed upon standard while the “yellow van franchise” and most others do not.
The agreed upon standards are as follows:
• Pre-treat spots, stains and heavily soiled areas
• Hot water extraction
• A thorough rinse
• Furniture moving
• Complete drying within 24 hours
Chem-Dry of Richmond is a CRI Certified Seal of Approval Service Provider. In fact, the Chem-Dry of Richmond “10-step carpet cleaning service” exceeds these specifications.
